CALCASA operates one of the largest, most comprehensive specialized libraries on violence against women in the nation. The collection includes thousands of books, periodicals, curricula, resource guides, videos and audiotapes. Located at CALCASA's office in Sacramento, the specialized collection serves as an indispensable resource for rape crisis and rape prevention programs, violence prevention organizations, educators, police departments, prosecutors, legislators and many others.
CALCASA's professional library staff monitors and reviews all new publications, manuals, as well as guides on rape, sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence and survivor services - making the Rape Prevention Resource Library a premier source of information on emerging issues in the field of violence against women.
Access to a searchable catalog of the Rape Prevention Resource Library holdings is available on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While borrowing from the collection is restricted to our member programs and grantees, the public and other interested individuals are welcome to visit the library and use the collection during CALCASA's regular business hours.
