Students share recommendations with legislators during Student Summit.

Today, CALCASA hosted a web conference for member rape crisis centers presenting recommendations and findings from our recently published report “Student Perspectives on Campus Sexual Violence – Recommendations from the 2014 Student Summit on Sexual Assault”. This report is a culmination of student perspectives and recommendations on effective responses and policies to campus sexual violence. This report will be available for broader distribution and download next week!

We have made today’s presentation available to our members as they begin outreach to their local colleges, universities, community colleges, and trade schools. We will be facilitating a series of web conferences for further guidance and additional resources as they develop and strengthen relationships with local campuses.

Please stay tuned for more resources, updates, and information on campus sexual assault. This is an important issue facing our state and nation and CALCASA is devoted to helping equip California rape crisis centers, advocates, colleges and universities, and legislators, as well!
