California Needs to Invest In Ending Sexual and Domestic Violence


The Sacramento Bee just published a joint op-ed written by CALCASA’s CEO Sandra Henriquez and the Partnership’s Executive Director Kathy Moore. This op-ed focuses on our jointadvocacy effort for $50 Million to End Sexual and Domestic Violence in California.

“We are moving toward a world where survivors can come forward because they expect to be believed. It’s now time for the Legislature to recognize that #TimesUp and make a real investment in protecting Californians against sexual and domestic violence.”

Lorena Campos

Communications Associate Lorena Campos works closely with leadership and management to support the activities of the Communications Team and coordinates CALCASA’s day to day communications such as content development, messaging, public relations, marketing, and social media outreach. Lorena began her work with CALCASA as an intern in the spring of 2015. She was born and raised in Stockton California and graduated from the University of the Pacific with a B.A. in Political Science, and Minor in Ethnic Studies. She is committed to lifting the voices of Survivors and Rape Crisis Center Programs through her work and supporting CALCASA’s national voice. Lorena is a Chicana, who loves to be with family and friends and loves going to the beach.
