Trauma Responses in Detention

The responses an incarcerated person has to a traumatic event are no different than those a person in the outside community might have — but the regimented nature of the detention setting exacerbates these responses, which can manifest themselves as rules violations. This webinar provides information for advocates on how to safety plan and provide appropriate follow-up for incarcerated clients in crisis. Covered topics include self-harm, suicidality, and homicidal ideation.
