SURVIVE Employment Law Training

SURVIVE: Surviving Violence and Increasing Viable Employment- Employment Rights for Survivors Sexual Assault

 

 

Topics:

• Connection between domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and employment;

• Time off from work to go to court;

• Time off from work to obtain services;

• Family and medical leave rights;

• Disability law rights and protections;

• Anti-discrimination law rights and protections;

• Workplace safety;

• Unemployment Insurance;

• Simple steps to screen for employment concerns.

 

 

Objectives:

Build familiarity regarding state and federal employment rights and protections for domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking survivors. Provide advocates with tools to use to screen clients for employment concerns and to help them advocate on behalf of their employment rights

 

These trainings will be offered FREE of charge and will be opened up to all community partners who may benefit from the information. MCLE credit is available.
