Dine for a Change is an annual event that helps raise the visibility of the problem of rape and sexual assault and engages community and business support in ending sexual violence. We will be asking our own donors as well as the public-at-large to patronize participating restaurants to donate 15% - 14% of total food and beverage sales toSFWAR on that day. Dine for a Change is a great way for restaurants to gain new patrons and customers, raise visibility for their business and contribute to the well-being of the community by taking a stand against sexual violence.

We will pass out labeled condoms that say, "Got Consent?" and laminated cards with information on ways to keep safe and prevent sexual assault. The Clothesline Project is a display of t-shirts made by survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. The various types of sexual violence are represented by different colored t-shirts - containing graphic messages and illustrations symbolyzing the survivors' experiences. The project raises awareness about the prevalence and impact that sexual violence has on our society and allows survivors an opportunity to break the silence by telling their story.

As a culmination of the Clothesline Project, Take Back The Night is a candlelight vigil and match to raise awareness about sexual violence. Throughout the walk there are stations with visual displays and/ or artistic performances addressing the various aspects of sexual violence, including societal factors which allow sexual assault to exist,its widespread occurance, and the devastating impact. The evening concludes with a speak-out, where survivors can share their experiences of assault and recovery.
